Portrait of artist Zbigniew Blajerski

(Born in 1983) He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków. For more than fifteen years, he has been passionately devoted to sculpture, continuing a family tradition. He created his first works under the guidance of his parents, Ewa and Marek Blajerski, who inspired his fascination with sculpting in a wide variety of materials. During his studies, he gradually developed his own artistic language and explored more innovative means of expression. Today, he creates works in wood, ceramics, metal, stone, plaster, and resin. He frequently visits his parents, who live in the Podkarpacie region, where they continue to advise him on both technical and artistic matters. He lives and works in Kraków. Ceramics is his preferred medium, as it offers him creative freedom and encourages abstract thinking. He also enjoys working with linden wood, walnut, oak, and black oak (bog oak). Stone carving remains another favorite practice, reminding him of the atmosphere of his parents' workshop. In addition to sculpture, he is passionate about drawing. Together with two fellow sculptors, he is also a member of a music band, where he plays bass guitar.
